One of the biggest concerns I have with the American electoral process has nothing to do with voter fraud, campaign finances, or even hanging chads but with the American voter himself. US reading habits are at an all-time low and declining. More than ever people are turning to 30 second soundbites to determine who they will vote for.
There was a hilarious Onion News Network piece last week where the panelists discuss the crucial "Idgit," or idiot, voter -- the unpredictable, uninformed demographic that invariably decides elections.
Sometimes you have to laugh to keep from crying.
